Jack Henry (’22) and Sam Chanow (’19) running strong
The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams ran a strong first race of the season at the Pfluggerville ISD Invitational. Coach Chris Bilbrew had the team fit and ready to compete after preseason and weekend morning runs and weekday afternoon sessions in the heat. Both teams ran in the JV bracket for 1A-4A schools as an early season time trial for the Griffin runners.
The Griffin boys soundly beat the Taylor High School runners with a team score of 18 to Taylor’s 41. Griffin athletes took the top three spots in the race led by senior Sawyer Wilson, freshman Jennings Wilson, and junior Alex Strong. Full official race results are available here:
